This course is designed to develop an awareness of self-concept, confidentiality, and ethics as they relate to interactions with others. Learners will explore self-awareness by discovering and analyzing personal values, beliefs, and biases. A focus is placed on ethical and professional boundaries to establish professional standards of practice.
Upon successful completion of the course Child & Youth Community-Based Care: Professional Practice, the learner will earn a microcredential. A visual representation of the microcredential is issued to the learner as a digital badge. The learner can share the digital badge on a resume, LinkedIn profile, e-portfolio, or other digital network allowing employers to see what the learner can do as it shows evidence of the assessed competencies.
Note: If the learner has prior knowledge that is equivalent to some or all the competencies for this microcredential, they may be a good candidate for Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR). See details on the program page.
